Membership in Manchester Historic Society is open to all residents of Manchester. A growing membership allows MHS to be a stronger force to work for historic preservation in our neighborhood. With growing interest in Manchester, such as the City's Manchester-Chateau planning process, MHS is one voice in the conversation promoting preservation of our neighborhood's unique character.
Also, as you are aware, MHS took ownership of the Colonel James Anderson House (the former Anderson Manor) in early 2016, and we are working on a long-term plan to use the building as a community asset for all in the neighborhood, as well as developing fund-raising initiatives to help restore the building to its former grandeur.
Please join us! Not only is membership a great way to meet your neighbors and share stories -- good and bad! -- of preserving and restoring our homes, it's a way to stay in the loop as MHS shares updates about projects around the neighborhood.
Membership is limited to residents; businesses and organizations cannot be members.
Dues are $5 per year, per member. If you are interested in volunteering to help with specific projects, such as our annual house tour, neighborhood cleanups, or committees, please indicate your interest on your membership form. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
We look forward to seeing you at the next social!
